I have two Year 11 students completing their Digital Technologies Level 1 NCEA standards using Unity and VR.


We contracted VR Voom Teacher to work with the students as they had ambitious projects that we were struggling to complete in the busy classroom environment. Thomas came on site and worked with both of them solving complex problems within their outcomes. He was patient and explained things fully, allowing the students to learn from the experience.


This was especially useful when we went into lockdown and Thomas continued to work with the students over Zoom. This gave them the reassurance that they could complete their work at a stressful time and they were very grateful to have this opportunity. The students have gone on to finish their games to a high standard and are very proud of them.


I would highly recommend Thomas and VR Voom. They were fantastic to work with and responsive to our needs. Very professional and helpful.

Saint Kentigern Girls’ School year 7 students completed an introduction to Virtual Reality using Unity software through VR Voom.  VR Voom education team presented at the girls’ pace and was able to break down the programming language into achievable steps for learning.

“I took a group of Baradene College Computer Science students to VR Voom for a class trip and they had so much fun racing, exploring, riding roller coasters, and helping each other to survive zombies! The staff were so friendly and helpful on the day and we look forward to visiting in the future to take part in their VR School programmes.

After 6 weeks of working with Education Team from VR Voom via online meetings, students finally got to meet the Team in person and will continue their mentoring program into term four. While lockdowns and the pandemic have restricted movement and interactions, our senior students have been busy prototyping apps in Unity. Groups of up to 3 are developing apps around health, wellbeing, education and entertainment.”
